The publisher provides open access to most publications, including the content of periodicals, on the principle that research that is free to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Users are permitted to view, store, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of publications or use them for any lawful purpose without the author's or publisher's prior consent. This provision is consistent with the definition of open access formulated in the Budapest Open Access Initiative.
